It Takes More than Once…
Pilates intentionally works out muscles that are often neglected. Because of this, clients often begin to realize very quickly how their bodies have been compensating to make up for an often weakened core. This realization can lead to frustration for some or motivation for others. In either case, I strongly encourage all who are interested in taking pilates to commit to at least 3-4 sessions before evaluating its benefits.
After the First Session
Drink plenty of water. Take an epsom salt bath. Before you go to bed or right when you wake up, take a moment to recall some of the areas pointed out in your body. Becoming and staying aware of our natural physical tendencies helps our body naturally correct any imbalances we acquire over a lifetime of use.
